Total play time of 1 hour 45 minutes once a week.
Play will be 3 sessions for each group of 4 participants – one session for each possible pairings of the 3 players, so you play once with everyone in your group the same day. 1 game equals 1 point for each member of the winning team, a set consists of 8 games total (everyone serves twice), so a maximum of 8 points can be gained in a session, there is no tie-breaker, the set can end with 4-4 in which case all players earn 4 points. During the games the first deuce is played out, but if it comes to a second deuce, the game ends with a final point -- sudden death. When the set is over (8 games played), record scores and switch partners to play the next set. Points are accumulated per player with the top scorer moving up a group and the bottom scorer moving down a group.
The first group should arrive in time for a warmup at 11:55, play begins at 12:00pm and the group plays through the 3 sessions with a short water break between. If the first group finishes before 1:45pm, they may continue playing just for fun.
The second group takes the court at 1:45, after a five-minute warmup, the play starts at 1:50, following the same format as outlined in the first group, and this format is used for all remaining groups.
Players cannot move up levels or within their group based on the performance of a substitute, if a sub has the highest score, the player with the second-highest score will move up to the next level. Substitutes will have -3 games removed from their total score.
